Tavant designed an application that was supported by popular smartphone platforms like iPhone, iPad, Android, BlackBerry, etc. All features of the application could be configured directly from server to save time.
The application's most unique feature was Citizen Journalism (CJ), which allowed readers to upload content from their phones to an embargo area for review by editorial staff. The editorial team could then review and selectively publish the submitted content. The application also supported RSS feeds from CJ module for inclusion in the newspaper website.
